The music of 1,000 performing artists from around the world will be celebrated at the Festival d’été de Québec, an outdoor musical event its organizers call Canada’s largest and most important. The summer festival, which opens tomorrow for its 49th season, will span 11 days from July 7 – 17 in Québec City, a world heritage UNESCO site known for its well-preserved architectural treasures. The Festival d’été de Québec will showcase the work of a diverse group of artists, from renowned to up-and-coming. The nearly 300 events, which will highlight genres ranging from pop, rock, and folk to electro, hip-hop, blues and world music, will take place at 10 indoor and outdoor venues.
