For the requirements, Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has selected some documents that can be use at the point of receiving your Western Union Money Transfer at the bank. the documents are
- International Passport.
- Drivers License.
- Voters Card.
- National Identity Card
the four above documents are the ones that is needed at the bank, in order to claim your Western Union Money Transfer. the above for documents were chosen by CBN because they have what we call the ID Number which is a necessity to fill on your To Receive - Agent Receipt.
Note: From the four documents above you are only expected to carry only one out of the four document. well, if you wish to carry the four of them, no problem, but when you get to the bank only one will be used, so save your stress to carry only one out of the four documents.

The " To Receive Money Teller " is the teller that will be given to you after the banker must have asked you to tender any of the four documents listed above if you have any. so if you tender any of the documents, he will now give you the " To Receive Money Teller " teller to fill. thus any of the document listed above is the criteria for the banker to give you the " To Receive Money Teller " to fill.
On the " To Receive Money Teller " there are some data you have to write and they will be explained as shown below;-
The " To Receive Money Teller " is divided into sections
The MTCN Section
The Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN) Field: The MTCN is a number that the sender of the money will give you which is the receiver. the MTCN is a ten (10) digit number you will fill in the first six (6) digit of the MTCN in the teller and keep the remaining four (4) digit which you will still enter on the point of confirmation, so keep your MTCN number of the transaction safe, since it is the main ingredient of the Western Union Money Transfer.
The Receiver Section
The Name(s) Field: This field basically comprises of your First Name, Middle Name and Surname, so make sure to fill your names accordingly.
The Address Field: In address field you just have to fill in you resident address, i.e the address where you permanently leave of reside. this field will require you name of The street, The city, the Province/Country, and the Postal code of where you leave.
The Telephone Field: the telephone field just require you to fill in your current telephone number that one can use to reach you.
The Bank Customer: This field is only necessary if you are a customer of the bank you went to claim the Western Union Money Transfer. so if you are a customer, you are to ensure you fill in your Account number, Telephone number, and the Purpose of fund
The Sender Section
The Name(s) Field: This field requires you to fill in the correct names of the sender so make sure you ask the sender of his or her First Name, Middle Name and Surname, inorder to aid you fill this field correctly.
The Address Field: In address field you are to fill in the resident address of the sender, i.e the address where the sender permanently leave of reside. so make sure you ask the sender for his or her address. This field will require you to fill in the senders name of Street where he or she leaves, The city, the Province/Country, and the Postal code of where the sender leaves.
The Telephone Field: the telephone field just require you to fill in your current telephone number of the sender that one can use to reach him or her if need be.
The Expected Amount Field: For you to fill this field properly, you are to ask the sender of the Western Union money trasfer the exact amount he is sending in the foreign currency, for example if the sender says he sent $100, then $100 is what you will fill in in this field.
The City, State/Province, Country Money Sent From Field: This field is self explanatory, it simply requires you to fill in the senders City, State/Province, Country from which the money is sent from. for example if the sender is in USA in the state California, you just fill in "California, USA" in this field.
The Test Question and Answer Field: it this field the sender might decide to include a test question and answer. This technique is just to ensure that you are the rightful person to claim the transfer. so the sender will send you a Question with the correct Answer to the Question so that you can fill it in in this field. but if the sender did not include a Test Question and Answer you can then leave the field blank.
The Receiver's Signature, Date and Time Field: This field requires you the receiver to your correct signature in the signature field, the correct date you went to claim the money from the bank, and the exact time as well in their respective field.

If you see The "To Receive Agent Receipt" then you should put a smile on your face because you will soon get your money which has been sent to you via Western Union. if you correctly filled the " To Receive Money Teller " properly then the "To Receive Agent Receipt" will be presented for you to sign. Two (2) copies of the "To Receive Agent Receipt" will be presented for you to sign, one of the copy stays in the bank while the other copy follows you home. the "To Receive Agent Receipt" contains the Agent Signature, stamp, date and your signature too with all other details that you filled in the " To Receive Money Teller " as well as the exchange rate of the foreign currency.
