Following the killing of two black men this week by Policemen in Minnesota and Baton Rouge, the Black Lives Matter movement is more relevant than ever.
Alton Sterling was shot and killed by cops in Baton Rouge while he was selling CD’s just outside a convenience store and the graphic recording of the incident sparked public outrage.
Barely two days later, Philando Castile was shot by a policeman when he was pulled over for a broken tail light. The aftermath of the incident was streamed live on Facebook and has now sparked calls for America to openly discuss racism.
#AltonSterling and #PhilandoCastile’s lives mattered. Black lives matter. We need racial justice now. http://pic.twitter.com/mXTC0zRfqJ
