Contagious Hand, Foot And Mouth Disease Throws Curveball Into MLB Season

Houston Astros relief pitcher Brad Peacock throws against the Seattle Mariners Aug. 1 in Seattle. A month later, he became the third known player in the league diagnosed with hand, foot and mouth disease this season.

Astros relief pitcher Brad Peacock was the third player sent home with the virus this season. The league says it is taking steps to contain it any spread of the virus.
