Heisman Winner Spotlights Hunger In His Hometown, Donations To Food Bank Pour In

LSU quarterback Joe Burrow described the poverty of his Ohio hometown in his Heisman trophy acceptance speech. Since then, donations from across the U.S. have flooded to the Athens County Food Bank.

"I'm up here for all those kids in Athens and in Athens County that go home to not a lot of food on the table, hungry after school," LSU quarterback Joe Burrow said in accepting the trophy.
