California's Mammoth Mountain is wrapping up its second-longest season after 275 days

A nearly buried chair on a lift at Mammoth Mountain in mid-March. The resort had its snowiest winter on record, having recorded over 700 inches at the base area and nearly 900 inches at the mountain

Atmospheric rivers brought record-breaking snowfall to the mountain over the winter, allowing the resort to stay open into August. It will close just shy of 100 days before the new season starts.
